A series of films , Harry Potter  - a series of films based on the books of the Harry Potter British writer JK Rowling. . Series released by Warner Bros. and consists of 8 films in the fantasy genre , including the main series - starting with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) and ending with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Part 2 ”(2011) - as well as the spin-off “ Fantastic creatures and where they live ”and his sequel“ Fantastic creatures: Crimes of Green de Wald ”.

The series was produced by David Hayman , and Daniel Radcliffe , Emma Watson and Rupert Grint played the three main characters of Harry Potter , Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley . 4 directors worked on the series: Chris Columbus , Alfonso Cuaron , Michael Newell and David Yates . The franchise ranks third in the list of the most profitable movie series with $ 9.17 billion in global profit.

" Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows " - the seventh and final book in the series and the only one that has been divided into two feature films. The first part was released in November 2010, and the second  in July 2011.

Since 2016, a spin-off has been released, which tells of events that occurred 65 years before the start of the main saga - Fantastic Beasts, based on the book of the same name . A series of "Fantastic Beasts" will be a continuation of the franchise, and J. Rowling said that there will be five parts in total [1] .
